The interface of the future: Clippy.

Clippy changed the world, and everyone mocks him(it) for it. Even Microsoft seems to resent his previous existence. I'm constantly surprised with frequently Clippy is brought up in conversations with clients, product managers, or with other designers. Nearly 20 years later, Clippy still has a symbolic meaning that has staying power and continues to represent "do-it-for me" qualities product teams idealize.
